EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (ECA)

OMTA provides the education with wide range of extra-curricular activities (ECA) such as basketball, swimming, basic skills, debate, and presentation. OMTA aims to help your child build their skills outside of the classroom. Extracurricular activities are great for developing general academic and soft skills in addition to building skills within a specific discipline. For an instance, academic competition for exam strategies and sport for teamwork. Being involved in activities outside of school results in improving students’ social skills and help them to meet individuals whom they share interests with.

Orientation Session

This club comprises the main activities such as futsal, basketball, netball, badminton, ping pong and swimming. Training sessions are held at least once in a month. For some activities, teams will be sent to represent the school in tournaments and competitions. This club aims to offer its member the opportunity to practice sport and to maintain or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants.

Board Games Club

The board games club aims to expose our students to various board games such as chess, splendor, Manilla, Dixit, Tikki Topple and Scrabble. Board games play a very important role in child health and brain development. Board games held children develop logic and reasoning skills, improve critical thinking and boost spatial reasoning. It also entertains and bring children together through competitive and cooperative game play.

Bakery Club

Bakery Club allows its members to make new and different desserts and of course enjoying them or sharing them. Our aim is to provide a place for students who enjoy baking to bake at school and to teach a child how to bake to help them understand how much time and effort it takes for a parent to make delicious baked goods. It’s a proud moment when students bake themselves and serve others.

Design Club

Design club includes Jerseys and flag making, classroom decorations and designing decorations for school events. Art and design stimulates creativity and imagination of the students. Design Club aims to improve the children’s ability to control materials, tools and techniques. It is also purposed to foster an enjoyment and appreciation of the visual arts and a knowledge of artist, craftspeople and designers.

Team Building Activities

Team building activities consists of Running Man, Sports day and many more. Team building activities helps student to improve morale and leadership skills. Besides that, this activity identifies a team’s strengths and weaknesses and improves the ability to solve problem. It requires team work, which motivates students to align them to work harder, cooperate and be supportive of one another. Our team building activities are held outside of the classroom emphasizing more to nature. This is because by being outside and surrounded by nature, children experience an ever-changing and free- flowing environment that stimulates all the senses.

English Club

Debate and public speaking are one of the English Club activities. English club creates a platform for students to develop essential critical thinking skills. For instance, debate fosters the ability to make reasons and teaches you to prove your points, even if you get the contradiction. Public speaking on the other hand improves students’ communication skills and helps them, to overcome fear.
